Nice size and the price was reasonable.  But much is being said about NAD  and how it can aid the work of Mitochondria as well as aiding the immune system.  There are a host of other purported benefits if you are an athlete, but that is not my primary objective.  At two dollars a day, this is not inexpensive, especially if you are taking other core health supplements as I do.  But I want to take the research seriously.  As a senior citizen with friends seeming to be dying regularly, cost is a consideration, but health and longevity are top tier.  So I will continue to include this in my stack routine in hopes the purported benefits to cellular health are realized.  Worth getting at least cursory knowledge about.

I just seem to be wired both physiologically and neurologically oversensitive. I always do a fair bit of internet research before trying any new supplements, and decided to start taking SAM-e for its supposed mood enhancement properties  i. e.   EDIT 4/8/17: After a bit over a week of taking this SAM-e, I started breaking the pills in half and only taking ~100mg each morning.  I have never suffered from debilitating clinical depression, where my ability to work or perform necessary daily functions has been affected.  However, for as long as I can remember, ever since my teenage years my mood has wavered between complete apathy and general melancholy for 80% of my waking life.  I had started to feel significantly more irritable and easily angered for no reason.  Thus, I had few expectations for the first time.  However, it seemed to have immediate, salient effects on me, that I am certain are not placebo since I expected to experience no effects until about a week in.  After lowering the dosage, this increased irritability ebbed.  It is very stimulating  perhaps too much  for me the first hour, and I feel compelled to get up and do something.  It also increases my heart rate, and destroys my appetite and desire to eat breakfast.  I still found the immediate effects after dosing too stimulating, however, so I bought a pill cutter and cut it down to quarter pill  50mg  dosages.   I am not sure if the way this affects me is how it is supposed to be.  I wish these came in 100mg tablets instead of 200mg, since they seem to affect me a bit strongly as it is.  Much better.  as a "alternative antidepressant" if you will .   According to much of what I had read, it typically takes a few days of taking SAM-e consistently on consecutive days for it to work.  Just a reminder that box dosages may be a standard recommendation, but not the appropriate dosage for everyone.  After the first hour, it mellows out and my mood is overall more positive for the next few hours.  However, any substance or supplement I have ever taken in my life has affected me much more saliently than what is reported to be "normal".  It is also supposed to boost the immune system and my whole family got bronchitis about two weeks ago but I did not get it so it seems to be a great, inexpensive supplement.  Perhaps about 10-15 minutes after taking each pill every morning for the past few days, I feel what I can best describe as a mild warm energetic and slightly euphoric rush.

Too soon to know of any major differences but I do seem to have more energy and focus.  They were a little thinner than I wanted, but it will do. Working well so far.

" Granted, other vendors are more expensive but I am also not throwing away wasted tablets.  Per Dr.  Andrew Weil  which you can search online and read for yourself , he recommends the following to be used alongside Sam-E: "Take a daily multivitamin supplement that provides 400 mcg of folic acid, at least 50 mg of vitamin B6 and 50 mcg of B12  along with the rest of the B-complex . " Many folks also recommend that you stay very hydrated as another means of helping Sam-E do its job.   Here are my experiences:  -- I definitely feel more alert throughout the day and have had a happier, more optimistic inclination about the day-to-day stuff in life.  Before Sam-E, I needed at least a few  large  cups per day.  Now, one cup of coffee in the morning is more than enough.  Although I will not dock stars away from the product  since it is not Jarrow's fault , it is absolutely something that buyers need to be aware of.  Like the Chicken or the Egg argument, I am sure that getting a more restful night's of sleep is also helping me feel better throughout the day.  -- I used to constantly fall asleep during Movies and TV shows in the early evenings.  Sam-E has given me an extra boost of energy where I do not prematurely fall asleep.  -- Although many have said that Sam-E does not drastically help with their anxiety, I noticed that by taming depression, my anxiety has also been reduced.  For example, I have felt an increase in confidence; the extra spark of energy has allowed me to give off a healthier vibe towards others  e. g.   Note: I am not a licensed clinical professional.  -- I have also felt motivated to complete my  often mundane  day-to-day tasks, such as cleaning the house, doing the dishes, cook dinner, etc.  Similarly, at work, I have seen an increase in successfully meeting my daily responsibilities since taking Sam-E.   The downside to Sam-E is that it can be very expensive and not covered by any insurance since it is a vitamin supplement.  This forced me to research into cheaper options for Sam-E.  Luckily, the Jarrow's brand is highly raved by other  users AND the price is substantially less than buying the Nature's Made version at a local store.  I have felt the same positive effects from Jarrow's as I did when using Nature's Made.  Any information provided above is meant to be used for informational purposes only and should not replace the advice of an actual physician.   Also, Sam-E is not a "magic bullet" solution.  Sam-E can only do so much if you are out of shape and/or are sleep deprived.  For example, I am a late-night owl and if I only get a few hours of sleep, I wake up feeling groggy  just as any normal person would .  You have to be realistic about Sam-E; it can enable you to feel better but the problem will not entirely go away unless you choose to make other lifestyle changes.   *BEWARE OF THE PACKAGING/SHIPPING* The last thing I wanted to point out is to beware of the packaging.  I ordered my Jarrow's 200mg directly from  and the packaging was EXTREMELY POOR; the vitamins were stuffed into a small bubble mailer that was clearly not protected from getting "squished. I eat beef liver, but the other organs are very hard to find and honestly, not sure if I would eat them whole. Started taking this about 3 weeks ago.  Before I did, I stopped taking the multi vitamin I had been taking for years.  This supplement gives me a excellent choice on how to do nose to tail nutrition.  I could not be more surprised and pleased with this supplement.  It being all natural from beef organs is much more appealing. Good supplement for slowing and maybe reversing that inevitable process of aging! I absolutely refuse to use antidepressant pharmaceuticals since I realize first hand the danger of them.  Kratom has been an enormous help, and to a lesser extent St John's Wort  with high hyperforin , niacin, exercise, lithium orotate, ginseng, CBD, Phenibut  only for a very short time will this work . the list goes on.  Lately over the past few months it seems like I have an overbearing cloud of misery.  No reason to be depressed, but just depressed.  Those with depression will know what I mean.  I remember a few years ago trying Sam-e, but for some reason it did not work for me so I did not bother anymore.  Work was getting hard to even go to every day, and I had no motivation to do anything.  Out of desperation I ordered a box of this stuff.  I just picked Jarrow's randomly really.  I had used their probiotics before and liked them, so why not.  I feel I am immune from Placebo effect from experience, and am very pessimistic.  I took 2 of these  800mg  and I am not kidding, by day 3 it was like I got a shot of adrenaline or something.  It is been 3 weeks now, and I have not gotten that dark feeling of misery since then.  I have accomplished something around the house almost every single day since then, which was unheard of in a very long time.  It almost feels like a "physical" lift of some kind.  Boundless energy almost.  It is hard to describe, but something is definitely going on.  You have nothing to lose here.  I have heard that some people may not respond to these.  I have read that undermethylated types of people respond well to Sam-e, while methylated folks not so well.  I have read that it usually takes 2 weeks or more to feel effects of Sam-e, but it was approximately day 2 or 3 for me.  I did not want to believe it hit so fast, but expecting nothing for 2 weeks or more it definitely was not placebo. .  The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits of resveratrol are beneficial.

I purchased this for a family member, so I can only comment on what I have observed.  I think Sam-e works, and much better and quicker than any prescription.  Previous prescriptions would leave my family member feeling "spacey", or have real bad side effects.  So far with Sam-e, the depression feelings have gone away  I had say within 2 weeks , this is for a person being diagnosed with medium-depression.  I think that alone is remarkable.   The only thing I noticed, which may be in part due to the 400mg dosage, is that Sam-e makes my family member a little too mellow.  Maybe the depression has lasted so long, that we never knew this person inside is so mellow, because depression lead to so much anger/anxiety.  The mellow-ness, is somewhat close to having an indifference.  I am not too thrilled with this part, as I thought Sam-e worked to even out imbalances in the body.  But depression is worse, and incredibly hard to treat, so I will take mellow over sad/angry.   I will work to play with the dosing to see the effects.   our medical doctors worked more to find solutions such as Sam-e, versus popping rx's. There is a very noticeable difference in the texture and firmness of my skin.

These pills clear my brain fog that I have when I overwork myself and do not get enough sleep.  I feel more energized and my body feels healthier.  They are known to repair damaged cells.  After almost a month taking this product I have seen significant improvement especially with my mental fogginess.

Once I started to take the Liver & Bone Marrow plus Been organs, I realized that I did not need to take any other supplements. Was told this is a great product so we are giving it a try, so far so good.

It is easy to take.  One capsule a day with water is the recommended dose.  I think that it is great that these are made with vegetarian capsules and does not contain a bunch of unnecessary artificial ingredients or additives.  The expiration date for mines is May, 2025.  I take NAD  to help combat the elements of aging. I got the powder and added it to my OJ.  Are all these Omega 3 pills stopping me from having a heart attack or am I just not going to have a heart attack even without the Omega 3?  So there is a lot of research about both NAD  and Resveratrol being excellent anti-aging supplements, and of course this product has both.  I took it for about a month and felt fine but could not swear that it made a difference.  Maybe I had more energy but the weather is also nicer and the days are longer so who knows?  But then I ran out and did not replace the NAD.  I did not think much of it until I did not feel as energized.  Not really tired, but just a little off like I was about to catch a cold.  When the feeling did not go away  even with extra coffee  I decided to try another bottle of the NAD, and would not you know it a few days later my energy was back!  So I guess I have to say it does seem to work.  My only small issue is the size of the capsule.  As you can see from the photo it is nearly as large as my Omega 3 "horse pill".  It is not really an issue but it would be nice if it were a bit smaller  but then I guess you would have to take two of them anyway .   Give it a try and see what you think!.

I am 71 years old and will NEVER be without the SAM-e.  Very calming, without the side effects of most anti-depressants.   , and she LOVED the product.   Warning-  according to the label on the box - SAM-e cannot be taken by people who are bi-polar or by people who have Parkinson's disease.  In addition to lifting her depression  minus the bad side effects of the doctor-prescribed anti-depressants , SAM-e cured some arthiritis she was getting in her thumb.  By the way, this is the top selling anti-depressant in Europe . It is supposed to do wonders.  She had quit her doctor- prescribed anti-depressants, because she did not like the side effects.

I can not speak to the longevity of the product use, but as of now, it has been a little over a month of my husband and I taking them.  I can say that I feel a real spurt of energy in the evenings instead of being bogged down and ready for a nap. Not much more to say.

These supplements are very easy to swallow. Ok, firstly; talk with a doctor about your depression.  Do not just take a pill and hope for the best, make a plan.   I have struggled with fluxuating depression since an early teenager.  Some months would be fine, then for months my depression would hit.  I have been taking this for more than a year now, and it is stabilized.  I have been very carefully looking for side effects, and I have noticed a few.  I go to school, so this is not conducive to doing well.  It is not too strong, but is noticeable.   Notice, this is just my personal experience.  Yours could very well be different..

This product was initially suggested to me by the healthfood store.  I have been purchasing it since that time on  due to better pricing.  We have noticed a significant improvement with my mother's memory.  She is diagnosed with Alzheimers, but I have always thought it was more on the depression side.  We are also giving her a mushroom product as well.  She is now doing her crossword puzzles again which she had not done in years.  She is much more engaged in conversation.  We have tried in on my father who's about double her weight and his mood did not improve.  He would probably need to take the entire package to cheer up.
